PURPOSE: Shift lug structure for a manual transmission is provided to improve shift quality, and to exclude detention by avoiding interference with a shift finger and an R-range shift lug through a cut portion in shifting into 5 or 6-range. CONSTITUTION: A shifting mechanism of a manual transmission is composed of a shift finger(19) installed in a control shaft interlocking with a shift lever, and a shift lug having a 1-2 range shift lug(21a), a 3-4 range shift lug(21b), a 5-6 range shift lug(21c) and an R-range shift lug(21d) installed on a shift rail individually to operate a synchronizer in shifting by operating the shift finger. A cut portion(22) is integrally formed at the side of the R-range shift lug for the 5-6 range shift lug to avoid interference with the shift finger in shifting. Shift quality is improved by eliminating interference between the shift finger and the R-range shift lug in shifting into 5 or 6-range.
