APPARATUS FOR DETECTING SURFACE SHAPE AND DEFECT OF STEEL PLATE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting a surface shape and defect of a steel plate is provided to increase productivity and to reduce working load of a worker by detecting defect formed on the surface of the steel plate through allowing a detecting section to directly make contact with the surface of the steel plate. CONSTITUTION: A defect detecting apparatus includes a horizontal movement control section, a vertical movement control section and a defect detecting section. The horizontal movement control section has a supporting body(11), a hydraulic cylinder(15) and a reciprocating bar(23). The vertical movement control section has a supporting plate(41) provided with a motor(42) and a frame(45), and an electromagnet supporting plate(52) equipped with an electromagnet(57). The defect detecting section has a mobile body(62), a roller(63) and a bracket(61). A horizontal guide rail is installed at one side of the supporting body(11). The hydraulic cylinder(15) is arranged in line with the horizontal guide rail.
