PURPOSE: A structure and a manufacturing method for a knob are provided to prevent paint from peeling away and engraved figures and letters from damaging and to improve external appearance of the knob. CONSTITUTION: A knob(1) is composed of a core(2) and an outer cover(3). The core has a hollow portion(250) inside and combining bosses(240a,240b) on both ends. The outer cover covers the core as transparent material. The core is a rod shape and has curvature longitudinally to be gripped easily. A clamping rib is installed to an end of the core to support the core with the combining boss when the core is inputted to a metallic mold. A trace of the clamping rib is not shown when the rib is removed after finishing formation of the outer cover. Thereby, an operation of a door or a lid with the knob is easy by reducing weight. External appearance of the knob is improved by transparent resin.
