PURPOSE: A variable oil dam of an oil pump is provided to smoothly supply oil in the initial starting by making an oil inlet of an oil pump filled with oil even when an engine is stopped and to solve the problem of noise by reducing the inclination angle of an oil dam. CONSTITUTION: An oil dam(20) is rotatably combined to an inner plate attached to an oil storage case(10). A spring guide(32) is rotatably combined to the horizontal wall of the inner plate. The oil dam rotates by the elasticity of a spring(30) elastically supporting one face of the oil dam. If oil flows toward an oil inlet(4), the oil dam rotates reversely. When an engine is stopped, the oil dam is opened by the elastic force of the spring. Thus, oil is secured.
