PURPOSE: A method for controlling knock in the sudden starting of an engine is provided to minimize the degradation of power performance by controlling asynchronous fuel injection and retarding the ignition time. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling knock in the sudden starting of an engine comprises the steps of initializing all variables(S100), deciding if an engine is in the idle state(S110), deciding if a throttle valve opening degree is changed(S120), deciding if a driver has an intention of rapid acceleration(S130), deciding if the throttle valve opening degree change is kept(S132), deciding if a throttle valve opening degree change ratio is over a second reference value(S140), and outputting a control signal for unconditional asynchronous fuel injection a control signal for retarding the ignition time to all cylinders to reduce the occurrence of knock(S150).
