PURPOSE: A system and a method for downloading the service information added to a user card are provided to enhance the card use by downloading a service item, which is provided through the user card, to the user card according to a user's request. CONSTITUTION: The user card(50) stores the card information including the user information. A service providing server(10) makes the user select the service item added to the user card(50) by providing the service items of the user card(50), and provides the service information corresponding to the selected service item. A user terminal(70) selects the service item by connecting to the server(10), receives the service information from the server(10), and stores the service information in the user card(50). The user terminal(70) comprises a connection terminal(30) selecting the service item by connecting to the server(10) and downloading the service item, and the first card terminal(40) reading the service information stored in the user card(50) or storing the service information in the user card(50) by responding to the control of the connection terminal(30) when the user card(50) is inserted.
