PURPOSE: A self-diagnosis device of vehicle and diagnosis method using the same is provided to perform self-diagnosis function regardless of the kind of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An input/output unit(30) is interfaced with a connector(20) connected to a plurality of Electronic Control Units(ECU)(10), and a terminal(70). A central processing unit(40) performs the processes of: scanning each ECU, and storing the information on communication protocol to each ECU in a memory(50); using the information on the communication protocol, communicating with each ECU, and receiving diagnosis code from the ECU; outputting the diagnosis code to the terminal with graphic interface.
