PURPOSE: A device for setting preload of a main bearing for a travel reducer is provided to improve the work efficiency by facilitating the setting work of set torque, without positioning work, in fastening an adjusting nut. CONSTITUTION: In a device for setting preload of a main bearing(10) for a travel reducer, a screw hole is co-axially formed to an adjusting nut(11) fastened by torque, to produce preload by pressing the main bearing. A pallet(13) is inserted into the screw hole and is fastened by a set screw(14), to prevent breakage of a threaded portion formed to a spindle of a motor(16) and to prevent loosening by improving friction force.
