PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pump capable of delivering a micro volume of fluid in which the conduction arrangement to a conduction control object is facilitated. SOLUTION: A magnetstorictive element 15 is disposed on the outside of an ink containing chamber 9 and a coil 18 is disposed on the outside of the magnetostrictive element 15. When the coil 18 is conducted, the magnetostrictive element 15 receives a magnetic field generated therefrom and deforms to elongate in the longitudinal direction. Based on that variation, a disc spring 8 deforms resiliently to apply a pressure to ink 10 contained in the ink containing chamber 9 thus ejecting ink from an ejection opening 2. A micro volume of ink 10 can be ejected based on a micro deformation of the magnetstorictive element 15. Since the coil 18 of conduction control object is disposed on the outside of the ink containing chamber 9, conduction arrangement to that coil 18 is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
