<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably retain the braking balance of four wheels by improving a deviation in a timing in generating a braking force in each wheel even if thermal expansion and abrasion occur in brake friction materials in a vehicle controlling the braking force by detecting the braking force of the brake friction materials to rotors rotating along with the wheels. <P>SOLUTION: If there is a non-contacted brake contact material when detecting the start of the contact of the brake friction materials, the braking force F0 in starting the contact is retained (step S25) till detecting the start of the contact of the brake friction materials with the whole wheels (step S22), and simultaneously a position command to the non-contacted brake friction material is increased to quicken the contact therewith. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
