PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet printer for forming an image by reciprocating a head in the widthwise direction of a recording medium and supplying ink to the head through a tube in which flexure of the tube is regulated without requiring an extra member and without imposing a large moving resistance to the head. SOLUTION: When a head 7 moves together with a carriage 11, a tube 31 projecting from the end face of the head 7 in the moving direction flexes. Rearward flexure (leftward on the drawing) of the tube 31 is regulated by a tube band 41 abutting against the cover 25 of a carry roller 3 and a guide shaft 13. As shown on fig. 4, front end face of the cover 25 and front end face of the guide shaft 13 are disposed on a vertical plane perpendicular to a platen 5. Consequently, flexure of the tube 31 can be regulated without requiring an extra member and without imposing a moving resistance by floating the tube 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
