PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a disposable diaper to be fastened at a belly side by which belly-part-fastening-belts are attached without lowering a disposable diaper production speed and also the diaper is easily produced at high speed without increasing the width of a diaper production device. SOLUTION: The method is for the disposable diaper which is provided with a diaper body where an absorbing body is held and stacked between a back sheet and at top sheet and the pair of belly-part-fastening-belts which is successively arranged at both sides of the back parts of the diaper body. At least three nearly rectangular sheet pieces are mutually overlapped and the end edges are mutually adhered and, then, the folded belly-part-fastening- belts are produced. The diaper body is produced in a diaper body production line which is provided separately from a belly-part-fastening-belt production line. Then the folded-state belly-part-fastening-belts are joined with the diaper main body in the diaper body production line. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
