The assembly comprising a hatch or door and a frame involves the hatch (1) being moved around a hinge axis (2) between open and closed positions and is provided with tension devices (3,4,5) exerting a force in the longitudinal direction of the hinge axis. Conversion components are incorporated for converting the force exerted by the tension devices into a force torque acting around the hinge axis which engages on the hatch. The tension of the tension devices is maximum in the closed state of the hatch and minimal when it is open. The conversion components consist of a connecting slot (8) in a connecting component and a ridge component with at least one ridge (11) working in conjunction with the connecting slot.
