<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable tricycle compactly foldable and expandable smoothly, and capable of stably maintaining the stored state thereof supported at three points by wheels and also surely maintaining the folded state without requiring an extra part such as a lock mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A front wheel support member 3 and a rear wheel support member 4 are formed foldably in a frame member 1 of foldable shafts 6 and 7 generally parallel with wheel shafts. A link bar 5 for connecting the front wheel support member 3 to the rear wheel support member 4 is disposed so that a quadrangle link can be formed by the foldable shafts 6 and 7 and both end parts of the link bar 5. Immediately before the folding is completed, the rear end part 5B of the link bar is formed in a dead point run-over shape surpassing a line connecting the front end part 5A of the link bar and the rear wheel foldable shaft 7. Thus the smooth folding and expanding are allowed, and the folded shape can be stabled even if a special lock means is not installed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
