METHOD FOR CREATING TRANSFORMANT OF PLANT OF GENUS CYCLAMEN AND TRANSFORMED PLANT OF GENUS CYCLAMEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply creating a transformant of a plant of the genus Cyclamen without using a selection marker gene.

SOLUTION: This method for creating the transformant of the plant comprises (a) a step for infecting a callus of the plant of the genus Cyclamen with a bacterium of the genus Agrobacterium and inducing a plasmid vector containing an useful vector, (b) a step for culturing the callus in a degerming culture medium containing an antibiotic and eliminating the bacterium of the genus Agrobacterium and (c) a step for regenerating a transformed plant through formation of an adventitious embryo without selecting the transformed callus from the callus.
