PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid cover mounting structure of a washing machine enhancing manufacturing efficiency by causing locking pawls formed on a lid cover to be inserted into slots formed in a lid base, and bending the tips of the locking pawls using an automatic machine to secure the lid cover to the lid base in such a way that the locking pawls are easy to bend in the correct direction so as to prevent bending errors and reduce bending time. SOLUTION: In the lid cover mounting structure of the washing machine, the lid cover 5 with a plurality of appropriately spaced locking pawls 6 protruding from the lower surface thereof is mounted on the lid base 4 by inserting the locking pawls 6 into the slots 7 formed in the lid base 4, and bending the pawls. Ribs 9 serving as guides protruding in the bending direction of the locking pawls 6 are formed near the slots 7 in the lid base 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
