PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of attaining excellent run-flat durability by keeping tire performance high. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire comprises radial carcass of at least one ply, a belt which strengthens a tread part on the outer periphery of a crown part thereof, and is constituted of a code cross layer of at least two layers, and a cap constituted of an organic fiber card wound around the outer periphery thereof, and includes a rubber reinforcing layer constituted of a rubber stock of which the cross-section running along the inner surface of the carcass over the whole area of a side wall part is crescent-shaped. In the pneumatic tire, between the carcass and the belt, a tie element of at least one layer where a number of cords are arranged in such a direction as to be substantially orthogonal to the equational plane of a tire so as to resist external force acting in the cross direction of the tread part.
