<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp body control device capable of changing an irradiation direction linking with steering immediately after ignition ON, and requiring no calibration operation in use, by means of a low-case relative angle sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In the lamp body control device comprising a steering angle sensor detecting a steering angle, floodlight means capable of changing an irradiation direction at least from right and left, a drive means changing the irradiation direction of the floodlight means, a control means for controlling the drive means based on an output of the steering angle sensor, and a straightforward state determination means for determining a straightforward state for a vehicle, the control device is characterized in that the irradiation direction is set to a direction of a steering direction and a direction according to the variation of the steering angle when a variation of the steering angle is greater than a predetermined value, and the irradiation direction is returned in a front face direction of the vehicle at a predetermined returning speed when the variation of the steering angle is not greater than the predetermined value, until it is judged as a straightforward state by the straightforward state determining means after ignition ON. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
