PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water planing boat in which intake system equipment and exhaust system equipment of a four-cycle engine is ideally disposed to surely retain the exhaust system equipment SOLUTION: In the water planing boat, the four-cycle engine 6 and a jet pump 32 are mounted to a hull 1, an enlarged diameter cylindrical portion 48 and a muffler 64 are disposed in the exhaust system equipment and between an exhaust port and an exhaust hose 67 for discharging the exhaust gas to the outside of the boat, and the jet pump 32 is operated by the drive of the four-cycle engine 6 to propel the water planing boat. In a plan view, a fuel tank 7 and an air box 28 of the intake system equipment are disposed on the center line of the hull, and the exhaust system equipment is disposed above an impeller shaft 33 of the jet pump 32. One end side of the exhaust pipe 60 connecting the enlarged cylindrical portion 48 with the muffler 64 is positioned above the impeller shaft 33, and the other end side thereof is disposed to one side of the rear portion in the hull.
