PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing polyesteramide that can increase the molecular weight as both the hard segment and the soft segment have high block-forming tendencies and shows excellent chemical resistance, fabrication properties and heat resistance, particularly excellent mechanical properties and creep resistance. SOLUTION: The polyesteramide is produced by dissolving 3-250 pts.wt. of a polyamide component having a specific reduced viscosity in 100 pts.wt. of a polyester component prepared from at least one of specific dicarboxylic acid and at least one of specific diol, then by carrying out the esterification reaction of the ester component at 150-230°C, polymerizing the resultant clear and homogeneous solution under a reduced pressure at 200-260°C, and by adding a polycarbodiimide compound to the resultant resin composition having an intrinsic viscosity higher than a specific value in an amount of 0.1-5 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt of the resin composition for extending chains of the polymer.
