PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conceive an existing state in distribution of abrasive grains to provide excellent working precision and cutting quality, and an excellent discharging property for cut chips, in a grinding wheel in which the abrasive grains are arranged by one layer on a base metal to be fixed by brazing. SOLUTION: Circular island areas 2 having a diameter of 2.2-3.5 times of an average particle size (75-300μm) of the abrasive grains are arranged regularly on an abrasive-grain layer forming face, the several abrasive grains are fixed within the each island area by the brazing, supply of a grinding liquid and the discharge for the cut chips are enhanced thereby to generate no blinding and no seizure, the stable working precision and cutting quality are provided thereby for a long period, and a life of the grinding wheel is also prolonged.
