<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set having good ink storage properties without interferring an ink feed mechanism, or the like, a recording unit capable of carrying out good image recording for a long period, and an inkjet recording head and to provide an inkjet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The ink set for inkjet recording has yellow, magenta and cyan ink. In the ink set, each ink comprises a coloring material, a dispersing agent, a water-soluble organic solvent and water, and the highest coloring material concentration (Pmax) and the lowest ink viscosity (Pmin) of the inks satisfy the formula Pmax/Pmin≥3, and when average value of viscosities of all inks is defined as ηave, the viscosity of the each ink falls in the range of ηave±15% and the highest concentration (Smax) and the lowest concentration (Smin) of solvent concentration satisfy the formula Smin/Smax≥0.6. The inkjet recording unit and an inkjet recording apparatus are each equipped with an ink storage part for separately storing each ink of the ink set and the head for discharging the ink.
