<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicone rubber composition overcoming drawbacks involved in the relevant prior arts in order to use silicone rubber as cable insulation material. <P>SOLUTION: This composition to be used as the cable insulation material comprises a silicone rubber subject to crosslinking, condensation crosslinking or addition crosslinking in a peroxidative way, a metal oxide selected from the group consisting of magnesium oxide, aluminum oxide, tin oxide, calcium oxide and barium oxide, a metal compound forming the corresponding oxide on heating the above oxide, boric acid, zinc borate, a platinum complex having at least one unsaturated group, and hollow microballoons. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
