PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buff material capable of maintaining the effect of an abrasive for a long period in buff polishing, and also provide a grinding wheel material constituted of the same. SOLUTION: This buff material comprises a buff wool formed in a roll shape or half-roll shape, and one or two or more selected from the group comprising a diamond abrasive grain, a polishing abrasive grain and a metal abrasive grain is (are) mixed in the buff wool.
