摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by heightening tenacity while keeping wear resistance equal to that of diamond coating. SOLUTION: A hard coating 20 of a three-layer laminated structure is provided on the surface of a blade part 14 of a cemented carbide tool base material 12. The hard coating 20 is formed by a TiAlN layer 2 to 47μm thick, a diamond layer 24 provided on the TiAlN layer 22 with a thickness of 10 to 15μm, and a TiAlN layer 26 provided on the diamond layer 24 with a thickness of 2 to 4μm. Since vibration and shock are absorbed by the TiAlN layers 22, 26 having comparatively high tenacity, breakage and separation of the diamond layer 24 are restrained so as to improve durability, and since the layer thickness is suitable, excellent wear resistance can also be given by the diamond layer 24 regardless of the existence of the TiAlN layer 26 on the surface.
