PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene-related material such as a polynucleotide useful for detecting single nucleotide polymorphism present in a human gene and utilizable for diagnoses of human diseases, drug reactivity, etc.

SOLUTION: This gene-related material such as the polynucleotide has any of specific base sequences isolated or purified from the human gene or contains any of single nucleotide substitution sequences, respectively. The polynucleotide is subjected to PCR amplification successively from DNA fragments having the specific base sequences using a combination of the two DNA fragments as one set.
