<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained release preparation which is a granular body, such as a microcapsule contained with a drug, does not substantially exhibit such as initial release as to hinder the release and exhibits a zero order release permissible in practicable use for a specified period of time and a method of making the same, to provide a sustained release preparation of a high drug content formed by including a drug into a granular body, such as a microcapsule with good stability and a method of making the same, also to provide a granular body, such as a microcapsule, containing one or more of an oil phase or water phase in a solid phase, and further to provide a granular body having a microcapsule-like hollow structure having a sheet of the film of a polymer as a housing and a making method which can make such hollow granular body with selectively high reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The granular body, such as the microcapsule, is formed by using polyhydroxy-alkanoate of a specific structure and the drug, one or more of the oil phase or the water phase or a gaseous phase (hollow portion) used for applications of the purpose are incorporated therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
