Polyalkylphenoxyaminoalkanes having the formulae (see formula I) and fuel-soluble salts thereof, wherein R is a polyalkyl group having an average molecular weight in the range of about 600 to 5,000; and R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen or lower alkyl having about 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The compounds of the present invention are useful as fuel additives for t he prevention and control of engine deposits.
