The spreading machine consists of a wheeled chassis supporting a bin (1) of sand with its base in the form of a conveyor (3) that delivers a controlled quantity of material, a carding post (5) for separating fibres from a mat, and a mixer that receives, mixes and distributes the sand and fibres from a single zone (4). The fibres are dispensed along an axis at right angles to that of the sand flow after carding by a horizontal conveyor with spikes and upper and lower spiked rollers.
