<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of producing a composite image correctly reflecting the color information of an image before composition. <P>SOLUTION: A first image 231 is acquired in a state that a part of comparatively high brightness of an object is properly exposed, and a second image 232 is acquired in a state that a part of comparatively low brightness is properly exposed in a digital camera. Both images are composed by an image composing part 204 on the basis of a weighted coefficient determined on each image element, after each image element value of the both images are converted into an apparatus-independent XYZ value by an XYZ conversion part 202, to produce the composite image. As the image processing is performed in a state that the image element values are represented by the apparatus-independent XYZ values, the composite image on which the color information of the first image and the second image before the composition is correctly reflected, can be formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
