<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ceramic turbine rotor having a smooth case-hardened surface of a blade part and a blade root part, and having high reliability to fracture, and also provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This ceramic turbine rotor has a rotary shaft 1, a hub part 2 continuously arranged on the rotary shaft 1, and the blade part 3 arranged in the hub part 2, and is characterized in that at least a part of the blade part 3 is composed of the case-hardened surface, and surface roughness R<SB>max</SB>of the case-hardened surface in the blade part 3 is 10 μm or less. Particularly desirably, room temperature strength of the blade part 3 is 750 MPa or more, a fracture toughness value of a surface layer part within 50 μm from the case- hardened surface is 6 MPam<SP>1/2</SP>or more, and hardness of the surface layer part is 13 GPa or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
