PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dispersing solid fine particles in a solvent using a polymeric dispersant, which method hardly causes deterioration in dispersibility with time. SOLUTION: In the method for dispersing solid fine particles in a solvent using a polymeric dispersant, the weight-average molecular weight ratio of the polymeric dispersant (weight-average molecular weight after dispersion/ weight-average molecular weight before dispersion) is caused to be at most 0.8.
