PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver incorporating an HDD or the like that can efficiently store digital TV broadcast program to the HDD or the like. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver capable of receiving a digital broadcast service, recording the service to a built-in storage means and reproducing recording contents, is provided with at least: a tuner means that receives a digital broadcast program; a transmission line demodulation means that demodulates a stream received by the tuner means into a transport stream; a storage means that records the transport stream demodulated by the transmission line demodulation means; an error detection processing means that detects an error of the received stream at demodulation by the transmission line demodulation means; and a storage control means that controls the storage means on the basis of the result of detection by the error detection processing means.
