PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high secondary electron emission characteristics and reduce the discharge voltage in the electrode protection film material used for a plasma display. SOLUTION: An inorganic compound film which is made of mainly magnesium oxide and contains at least one kind or more selected from a rare earth oxide is formed as an electrode protection film that is used for a plasma display. Since it has a high secondary electron emission efficiency, reduction in discharge voltage of the PDP panel can be expected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
