PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR valve capable of increasing section area of an EGR flow passage, preventing a valve element from being a resistance of flow of recirculation gas, reducing generation of turbulence behind the valve element, and rarely having chattering of the valve element and a valve seat under a condition that the valve element is slightly opened. SOLUTION: This valve includes a valve body having at least one valve seat formed inside and a valve element having a curved surface capable of slidingly contacting the valve seat with rotating in the valve body. A flow passage is preferably formed in the valve element and a rotating shaft of the valve element is preferable off-set from an axial line of the valve seat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
