PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer for a thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin for gluing an adherend to or forming a coating layer on a film or a molded product of a thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin, and a gluing method and a coating method using the same. SOLUTION: The gluing method comprises applying on the surface of a film or a molded product of a thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin a primer comprising a modified chlorinated polyolefin modified with maleic anhydride, an acrylate, a urethane, vinyl acetate or the like, subsequently applying an adhesive on the primer and gluing an adherend.
