PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple powder reduction device which extracts a small- amount sample from an easily segregable powder and whose range of an application amount is wide. SOLUTION: The upper edge width of each groove cell in the powder reduction device in which groove cells in mutually opposite grades or in intermittently identical grades are arranged is made different at both ends and/or adjusted, and the powder reduction device which changes a reduction amount ratio or whose range of the application amount is wide is formed. The groove cells are formed to be fan-shaped or circular in such a way that their inner circumferences are arranged to be thin widths and that their outer circumferences are arranged to be wide widths, or the groove cells are formed to be square in such a way that the thin widths and the wide widths are arranged alternately, and their use can be selected. They are combined with equally two-divided stages, and a plurality of equal-amount homogeneous samples can be extracted efficiently. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
