PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray locking device for a disk drive which can securely maintain a locking state in spite of exertion of external impact and can reduce the electric power consumed in locking and unlocking operations more drastically than heretofore. SOLUTION: The tray locking device includes a locking pin which is disposed at a main body, a locking lever which is freely rotatably disposed at a tray and is provided with a hook section to be locked to the locking pin as the tray ingresses into the main body on one side, an elastic member which energizes the locking lever to the locking direction of the hook section to the locking pin, a drive mechanism which rotates the locking lever so as to disengage the locking lever from the locking position of the hook section with the locking pin in drawing out the tray, and a counter impact unit which is disposed adjacently to the locking lever, has the moment tending to rotate the lever in the direction opposite to the direction of the locking lever and collides against the locking lever while rotating in the direction opposite to the unlocking direction of the locking lever when the locking lever is going to be rotated in this direction by impact.
