PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that temperature in a sensor section rises to cause a measurement error since the sensor accommodation box of the conventional wheel shape-measuring apparatus is nearly in a sealed structure. SOLUTION: In the sensor accommodation box 2 for accommodating a laser displacement sensor 1, an opening 1 for emitting laser beams and an air inflow opening 8 for introducing an air flow are provided. The air inflow opening 8 is matched to a plurality of air discharge openings 9 that are provided at a base 3 having cavities inside for mounting the sensor accommodation box 2. An air intake 10 that is provided at the base 3 and a blower 7 are connected by the air discharge opening 12. Then, the blower 7 is driven to discharge the air flow from the opening 11 of the sensor accommodation box 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
