PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the temperature and atmosphere with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The heating treatment in manufacturing a plasma display panel 32 is done by performing the moving operation for moving a conveying cart 7 to a sealing position for allowing an opened position of a front partition wall 13a and a front cart partition 23, and an opened position of a rear partition wall 13b and a rear cart partition 24 to be respectively fitted to each other when the conveying cart 7 is passed through a heat treatment device formed by connecting two or more heating furnaces of which a temperature are independently controllable, and a temperature adjusting operation for controlling a temperature of the plasma display panel 32 to a control temperature of the heating furnace in a condition that the conveying cart 7 is stopped at the sealing position, by the desired number of times. By applying this constitution, the approximately sealed condition can be formed by the cart partitions 23, 24 and the partition walls 13a, 13b at front and rear parts of the conveying cart 7, and the heating furnaces are controlled one by one like a batch type furnace even by the continuously moved heat treatment device.
