<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase conversion surround circuit providing a comfortable hearing surround effect providing peace of mind in an audio reproducing device. <P>SOLUTION: The phase conversion surround circuit 10 is of a system in which a delay signal Δ(R-L) formed by passing the difference signal (R-L) of right and left audio signals L, R to phase delay devices 15, 16 in a phase delay means is subtracted or added from or to the right and left audio signals L, R. Particularly, configuration is made by providing low-frequency oscillators 11, 12 having different oscillation frequencies f1, f2, 12 Hz or lower, and by providing phase delay control circuits A, B periodically varying the time constant of the phase delay devices 15, 16.
