<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the data management of purchased commodities is troublesome. <P>SOLUTION: A user performs the shopping with a terminal unit 10 in hand within a shop. The terminal unit 10 comprises a reading unit 12 of a commodity identification code affixed to each commodity in the shop, a transmitter-receiver 14 to acquire the detailed information including the price of the commodity corresponding to the commodity identification code from a server provided by the shop side, a display unit 16 to display the detailed information of the commodity with the commodity identification code thereof read by the reading unit 12, and an adding unit 20 which adds the price of the selected commodities purchased by the user one by one and calculates the total price among the commodities with the commodity identification code thereof read by the reading unit 12. The display unit 16 also displays the total price added by the adding unit 20.
