PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head slider which can be enhanced in stability to vibration and can be made extremely small and stable in contact force with a disk and a disk device having such head slider. SOLUTION: An HDD has a suspension arm which oscillates in the state of pressing the head slider 1 mounted with the magnetic head to a surface 16a of the rotating magnetic disk. When the suspension arm oscillates, the head slider 1 is moved in its radial direction in the state of making contact with the surface 16a of the magnetic disk. Negative pressure Fn is generated between the head slider 1 and the surface 16a of the magnetic disk in order to enhance the impact durability of the head slider 1 and to diminish the contact force of the head slider 1 with the surface 16a of the magnetic disk by increasing the air pressure between the head slider 1 and the surface 16a of the magnetic disk.
