PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimedia communication control unit by which a cooperative work can be performed while grasping the state of sending media information transmitted by a caller to a recipient. SOLUTION: A data amount derivation part 11 derives a data amount B to be transmitted on a network from the input of a trigger signal A indicating the occurrence of the transmitting action of the transmitter. A delay time derivation part 12 receives the data amount B, performs a notification request C of a throughput D to an NW status estimating part 13, receives the throughput D to a receiving side possible at that time and derives a delay time E. A stimulus generating part 14 receives the delay time E and reports the status under the transmission of media information at present to the transmitter as a stimulus. This stimulus is generated on a transmitting side by generating sounds from a receiver or the like, vibrating the receiver or the like, displaying a mark, numeral or graphic on a screen, changing the color of a display object to be transmitted on the screen or performing flickered display.
