PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum microwave thawing machine of which, an irradiation switch operates only when the pressure in a chamber becomes lower than a prescribed pressure, having sure microwave shielding property. SOLUTION: The vacuum microwave thawing machine 1, thawing an object to be thawed by irradiating microwave and heating the object while repeating pressure reduction process and pressure restoring process, comprises a door 11 opening and closing freely mounted to an opening part of a chamber, a closed state detecting means 72 detecting closed state of the door 11, and a pressure reduction detecting means transmitting a detection signal when the pressure in the chamber becomes lower than a prescribed pressure and permits a microwave generator 22 to operate depending on the signal from the pressure reduction detecting means.
