PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which easily notifies a user of the service condition of the refrigerator by effectively utilizing the change of the light emission condition of a display unit provided on the refrigerator. SOLUTION: Lighting of a blue LED 35, a yellow LED 36 and a red LED 37 are changed by the operation of a CPU 51 when an eradication button 22 is depressed, when a menu switching button 23 and a determination button 24 are operated, and when a recording button 25, a reproduction button 26, and a deletion button 27 are depressed, and the illumination color of the display unit 30, i.e., the back color is also changed. A user can recognize which button relating to which function (for example, the function of the sound memo) among a plurality of buttons on a control panel 20 is depressed according to the illumination color of the display unit 30.
