PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension for disk drive by which interference of an end part of a flexure fixed to an extending part of a hinge member to a fixture or the like can be prevented. SOLUTION: In the suspension 13 provided with a load beam 20, a base plate 21 and a hinge member 22, the extending part 44 is disposed at a side of the hinge member 22. A step forming part 45 is formed between a base plate attaching part 43 and the extending part 44. The step forming part 45 has a shape having elevation difference so that the extending part 44 is located at an inside in a thickness direction of the base plate attaching part 43. The end part 65 of the flexure 23 fixed to the extending part 44 is located at an inner side in the thickness direction than a surface of the base plate attaching part 43. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
