PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transmissive substrate wherein a defect caused in the connection between the light transmissive substrate and an LSI is reduced and to provide a liquid crystal display device provided with the same. SOLUTION: In the light transmissive substrate A having a transparent electrode layer 1, the transparent electrode layer 1 is positioned in a foremost layer of the light transmissive substrate A and the surface of the transparent electrode layer 1 has projecting and recessed fine layers. Thereby, effective pressure is imparted to particles of an anisotropically conductive adhesive and the defect caused in the connection between the light transmissive substrate A and the LSI can be reduced, even if the pressure applied to the LSI is not normal, when the light transmissive substrate A and the LSI are connected to each other.
