PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove air bubbles generated near a through hole. SOLUTION: The particle detector is provided with a sheetlike member which has the through hole for particle detection, a first cell which receives a particle-containing liquid and a sheath liquid and in which the particle- containing liquid is wrapped with the sheath liquid so as to be supplied to the through hole, a second cell which recovers and discharges the particle- containing liquid and the sheath liquid passed through the through hole and electrodes which are installed respectively at the first and second cells. The first and second cells are coupled watertightly to each other by sandwiching the sheetlike member, and at least one from among the first and second cells is provided with a first nipple which receives a cleaning fluid so as to be blown toward the through hole and a second nipple which discharges the blown cleaning fluid.
