PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting method in which a cumulative probability that a working pressure becomes less than a standard pressure is suppressed to be less than a predetermined cumulative probability even when a pressure switch in a used gas meter is reused in a next period. SOLUTION: The pressure switch is turned on when a gas pressure is less than a standard range, and a shutoff valve is closed and operated. From among working pressures of the total number u of pressure switches used in a first period, those which have a predetermined sorting pressure or more are selected, and the pressure switches are reused. In order to set a sorting pressure, an accelerated aging test in a second period is made to the pressure switches used in the first period, and their working pressures are measured. In each of a plurality of kinds k of pressures P2L, from among w pieces of pressure switches, the number w of pressure switches whose working pressure P2 is P2L≤P2, the number w of pressure switches whose working pressure is P2≤P0La is found, and a cumulative probability qon2Las (=w/u) is computed. A set pressure P2L corresponding to the value qon2Las which is less than a first cumulative probability qon0La and which is closest to a second cumulative probability qon1L from among the cumulative probability qon2Las is set as the sorting pressure.
